B.Voc. in 3DAnimation & Visual Effects is an industry-driven undergraduate degree developed in collaboration with Arena Animation. Designed to align academic learning with industry expectations, the program equips students with creative and technical skills in animation, filmmaking and visual storytelling. Spanning six semesters over three years, the curriculum evolves from foundational design principles to advanced production workflows, integrating emerging technologies like Generative AI, 3D Animation, Visual Effects and real-time rendering using game engines.

Early semesters focus on core concepts such as Graphic Design, Photography, Cinematography and 2DAnimation, supported by training in video/audio editing and AI-assisted tools. Students apply their learning through creative projects that foster aesthetic and conceptual skills.

The middle semesters emphasize technical proficiencies including 3D Modeling, Sculpting, Texturing, Lighting and Rendering. Simultaneously, students build digital assets while enhancing communication, personality development and organizational behavior for well-rounded growth.

In the final year, students tackle advanced modules like Rigging, Character Animation and Unreal Engine-based Real-time Cinematics. Courses in Advanced Compositing, Camera Tracking and Intellectual Property Rights are introduced alongside business fundamentals, encouraging entrepreneurial thinking. Emphasis is placed on industry- aligned projects, showreel development and portfolio building to ensure graduates are job-ready.

Program Structure

The three-year program is divided into 6 semesters; with 2 semesters per year. The unique proposition about the B.Voc. course comes from the fact that it provides flexibility to the students by means of pre-defined entry and multiple exit points – students can leave at the end of first year with a UG Certificate, at the end of second year with an UG Diploma or at the end of three years with a Degree program.
